Salsa del Sol working with the Community
Salsa on prescription a great success!
Local residents in Cam and surrounding areas have been putting on their dancing shoes for a new scheme called Dance on Prescription. Since April 2009, Stroud District Council, World Jungle and local doctors and nurses have been running a course of dancing aimed at improving people's health.
Under the guidance of Thomas Melendez of 'Salsa Del Sol', salsa dancing is proving popular among local residents, who have been strutting their stuff Latino style each week at Cam Memorial Hall.
